Petroleum is an iconic Danish knitwear brand est. 1990, creating classic grunge silhouettes from sustainable materials.
I was commissioned to do the showbook for Petroleum’s multi-colored line, which consists of garments created from excess cotton sourced in Europe, manufactured by randomly knitting different colored fabric, making every piece its’ own unique colorway. Embracing the grunge/rave roots of the brand, I shot B&W images and had markers bleed through the back to the face of the prints. The book is bound by hand and the images are hand stitched on to the pages with the actual thread from which the clothes are knitted.
